Kombucha is a natural, fermented drink based on sweetened tea (green or black), fermented by a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast called a SCOBY. It has a refreshing, sweet-and-sour taste and natural bubbles.
Nasza Kombucha is NOT pasteurized. This keeps its live cultures of bacteria and yeast, and a natural SCOBY forms in every bottle.
As a fermented product, kombucha may contain trace amounts of alcohol. In Nasza Kombucha this is usually 0.2–1.2%, formed naturally during slow fermentation.
Because of the trace alcohol and caffeine and the lack of conclusive studies, pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to be cautious and consult a doctor before drinking kombucha.
It is best to start with small servings (about 100–150 ml) and watch how your body responds, gradually increasing the amount. Many people drink 100 to 300 ml a day.
Kombucha is a living drink – keep it refrigerated, which slows fermentation. Store bottles upright and do not shake before opening, as it is naturally carbonated.
Nasza Kombucha contains no animal products and no gluten in its ingredients.
It is a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast that forms naturally after bottling. Its presence confirms the drink is alive and unpasteurized. It is safe to drink.
